Boonstra, Lukken place at Farrand Invitational

The 49th Annual Floyd Farrand High School Wrestling Invitational happened on Dec. 30 for the Panthers. Many fierce and ranked competitors hit the mats for this tournament which was held at Sioux Falls Lincoln.

Panther girls begin 2024 on winning side

An excellent start to 2024 was had by the Dakota Valley girls basketball team. The Panthers took care of business on the road against Viborg-Hurley (VH) on Friday, Jan. 5 and then decimated the Warriors of Sgt. Bluff-Luton the next day on Jan. 6.

Dakota Valley Panthers downs Lakota Tech

December 22 brought a long road trip that was on the books for the Panther boys basketball team in Pine Ridge, SD to kick off winter break. Lakota Tech scored a 3 to start things, but Dakota Valley answered quickly with scores of their own. The Panthers were running and gunning to push up the floor early. Charlie Margeas had a nice steal that he took down the court and fed to Tish Wingert for the hoop.

Elk Point-Jefferson wins going into winter break

After suffering a 10-point defeat from the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers, the Elk Point-Jefferson girls turned around and defeated Viborg-Hurley by 10 points. The first half belonged to the Huskies as they put up 18 and 19 points, respectively.

Huskies defeat Cougars in overtime win

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies were challenged by the Viborg-Hurley (VH) Cougars Dec. 19 in Elk Point. The Class B team really dug in their claws and tried their best to down the Huskies, but the Huskies prevailed.

Strong quarter play leads to win

The momentum stayed high for the Panther girls basketball team as they garnered another victory on Tuesday, Dec. 19. This was a road win in Nebraska. Dakota Valley took on Hartington Cedar Catholic (HCC) to be victorious by a score of 61-54.

Esport Panthers rank in top of state

The Dakota Valley Esports teams continued to see success in their 3rd week of competition from Dec. 18 to Dec. 21. They close out the 2023 year with some Panthers ranking at the top for the state. They are definitely a program to watch as play continues in 2024.
