Girls get their first win of season

Dakota Valley girls garnered their 1st win of the season to end 2022 as they beat the Wessington Springs Spartans 68-57 at the Parkston Classic on Dec. 30.

The Huskies travelled to Hurley, SD to face the Viborg-Hurley Cougars in a non-region contest Dec. 20. The Cougars, who won the State B Championship Title last year were ready to play against the Class A Huskies.

Panthers fall short

Close quarters with the game always within reach was the theme for the match-up between the Dakota Valley girls basketball roster and Hartington Cedar Catholic on Tuesday, Dec. 20. In what was a tight contest, the Panthers fell short by a score of 45-51.

Huskies fought hard

The Huskies boys took on Sioux Falls Christian Dec. 14 and lost 51-69 in a tough battle. A large halftime lead of 22-39 is where the Huskies fell. In the 2nd half, the Huskies were only 1 basket down from tieing the quarter scores.

EPJ wins home triangular, hosts Husky Invite

Elk Point-Jefferson hosted it’s first wrestling meet of the winter sports season Dec. 13 with a triangular against Vermillion and Dakota Valley.

Dakota Valley wins with running clock, beat MN team

The Panther boys basketball team outscored Beresford in every quarter of what was the 1st home game of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 13. Lots of quick passes and good feeds had Dakota Valley on a roll for the entire evening. They won big by a score of 82-44.

Huskies attack Bulldogs

The Elk Point-Jefferson Husky boys unleashed the beast against the Madison Bulldogs, defeating them 70 to 63 Dec. 10 at home.
