Panther youth wrestlers compete at state

The Panther wrestling club sent several youth grapplers to Rapid City, on March 28-30, 2025, for the South Dakota state tournament. Epic matches were observed as all of Dakota Valley represented well on the mats of Summit Arena at The Monument.

Panther track gets jump start at Dan Lennon Invitational

Several varsity track and field athletes for Dakota Valley were at the Dakota Dome, in Vermillion, on March 17, 2025. The Panthers were getting a jumpstart on the track and field season by competing in the Dan Lennon Class A Invitational which was held indoors.

Basketball honors for Panther girls

The Panther girls basketball team concluded their season at the state tournament on March 15, 2025. Dakota Valley secured a 4th place finish for the 2024/25 season in Class A. In addition to the team accolades, several individual Panthers earned season ending honors for their strong play.

Dakota Valley girls basketball 4th at State Tourney

Dakota Valley girls basketball opened up state tourney play in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Panthers were up against the Sioux Valley Cossacks for their 1st round. The game was played in the evening on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

Dakota Valley girls beat West Central, head to state

The SODAK 16 game for the Panther girls basketball team happened on March 6, 2025 at the neutral site of Tea, South Dakota. They were up against a strong squad from West Central (WC) with a chance to play in the 2025 state tournament on the line.

Panthers have strong start against tough Chargers

After rescheduling due to weather, the Panther boys basketball team hosted the Watchdogs of Beresford for the 1st round of regionals on March 6, 2025. It was 11-12 with 3:40 to go in the 1st quarter. Offense went backand- forth between Dakota Valley and their opponent. Then a deep 3 by Logan Collette tied things at 14 all.

Dakota Valley art students showcase their talent

February was a busy month for high school artists at Dakota Valley. Two students, Morgan Martin and Mia Oliva, had art pieces selected for the Sioux City Art Center’s 36th Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition.

Dakota Valley State Wrestling

Two Panthers wrestled at the 2025 Class A state individual tournament in Rapid City, South Dakota on February 27-March 1, 2025. They were juniors Braedy Sievers and Bennett Lukken. Both had strong regular seasons to punch their state tickets.
