EPJ Girls host first dual

The Elk Point-Jefferson girls golf team hosted a dual with Dakota Valley and two Flandreau players April 18 on their home golf course at The Pointe. Madison Buenger of EPJ was the individual medalist for the contest with the lowest score of 41.

Girls finish 6th, boys 9th at Titan Invite

On Tuesday, April 11 the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies Track teams participated in the Titan Track Invitational. This event took place at two facilities, with throws and horizontal jumps taking place in Vermillion, and the running events and vertical jumps taking place at the home facility in Tea Area.

Huskies earn 30 medals at Canton Relays

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies’ Track travelled north to Canton to participate in the Canton Relays on Monday, April 17. After the Sioux City Relays being cancelled on April 15 due to inclement weather, the Huskies were ready to run, jump and throw.

Huskies lose close contest

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies took on the Alcester-Hudson Cubs April 10 and almost pulled off a win, losing 7-6. According to head coach Jessie Stouffer, it was the 7th inning when the Huskies lost the game.

Girls golf open season

The Huskies Girls Golf team opened their season on April 11 at the Bridges Golf Course in Beresford. They battled against 6 schools – Sioux Falls Christian, Dakota Valley, Lennox, Beresford and Flandreau.

Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies go 1-1 to start season

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies opened their baseball season in Scotland April 10. They were pitted against the Scotland/Menno Trappers and walked away with a victory.

Throws, distance shine for Huskies at home meet

On a cold, windy, and overcast day, 10 teams competed at the EPJ Husky Track Invitational on Monday, April 3. Originally scheduled for April 4, this meet was moved due to the inclement weather forecast for the 4th.

Aslesen named to NAIA Women’s Basketball All-Tournament team

The 2022-23 Dakota State University Trojan women’s basketball team had one of the most historic seasons in program history, with numerous records set in the school record books. The Trojans advanced to the NAIA national seminals for the rst time in school history before falling to eventual national champion Clarke (Iowa).

Tea area Titans down Huskies

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies took on the Tea Area Titans Monday, April 3 as the home team. However, due to moisture on the softball elds, the Huskies had to play on Dakota Valley’s eld as the home team. The Titans put up a ght and charged past the Huskies, winning the game 17-2.
