The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies showed their grit, determination and persistence to overcome the Waubay/Summit Mustangs March 9. With the 58-50 win, the Huskies advanced to the state tournament. The Mustangs came out ready to play putting up 23 points in the first quarter. The Huskies took a while to warm up and get into their groove, but they shut down the Mustangs offense in the second quarter…
