Sexton, Betty Lou (Jameson) Nee, Malone, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus Dec. 23, 2021, at the age of 89. Formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri and North Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Jameson and Leo Sexton; a son, Tim Jameson; and two stepsons, LeRoy Sexton and Stanley Sexton.

Betty was born in St. Joseph, MO to Albert and Rachel Malone in 1932. In retirement, Betty and Leo traveled the country. She was a quiltmaker and won many ribbons at various quilt shows. She loved her family with all her heart and was very passionate about her pets.

She is survived by four sons, Edward (Barbara) Jameson, Danny (Debra) Jameson, Karl (Deborah Hlavka) Jameson and Joseph (Jill Blanchett) Jameson; two stepsons, John (Kathy) Sexton and Frank Sexton; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty was a resident of Woodlyn Heights Senior Living, Inver Grove Heights, MN for the past two years. Her family is grateful for the care she received.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held Thursday, June 23, 11a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 2100 Delaware Avenue, Sun Fish Lake, MN 55118. Memorials are preferred directly to the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota, Suite 100, 7900 West 78th Street, Edina, MN 55439.
