McCook Lake resident and Vietnam veteran Tom Jacobs took a trip to Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, May 21, and it was a memorable one. Jacobs was one of over 80 veterans on the Midwest Honor Flight that left the Sioux Falls Regional Airport and flew to Reagan National Airport for a full day of remembrance and recognition.Jacobs was accompanied by North Sioux City native Jay Schenzel.
