EPJ tops DV, falls to Vermillion in Legion matchups

The Huskies had legion baseball back-to-back days on July 16 and July 17, 2025. A huge victory was seized versus nearby rival Dakota Valley (DV) as Elk Point-Jefferson claimed the win by a score of 3-1. The next day they battled Vermillion and were on the losing end 3-13.

Union County Commission reviews budget requests

The Union County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on July 8 at the county courthouse, with Vice Chairman Mike Dailey presiding. Commissioners Bob Ballard, Tom Kimmel, and Peggy Ustad were present; Commissioner Kevin Joffer was absent. DV students tour Italy, Greece for hands-on art experience

A group of Panther students accompanied Dakota Valley high school art teacher Demi Harlan and chaperones to Europe on June 8-21, 2025. The art trip took the travelers to Italy and Greece for two weeks where they saw many sites and observed the area’s historical and cultural aspects.
