Unified bowlers shine at area competition

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Unified Special Olympics Bowling team was in Sioux Falls on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, 2025 for an area competition. Panthers outlast Dell Rapids in five-set thriller

An epic showdown took place in volleyball between Dakota Valley (DV) and Dell Rapids (DR) on Monday, October 6, 2025. The Panthers were hosts and both teams came in ranked at the top of Class A in South Dakota.

DV marching band earns runner-up honors in Class B

It was an early call time for the Panther marching band on Friday, October 3, 2025 as they traveled to Menno for their 2nd competition of the season. Seventeen schools competed at the 2025 Menno Band Day event. Dakota Valley was there along with Tea Area, Howard, West Central, Pierre, Parkston, Mount Vernon, Scotland, Centerville, Alcester-Hudson, Wessington Springs, Yankton and more.

Panthers battle but fall short at West Central

A tough away game on October 10, 2025 meant Dakota Valley would be put to the test versus the Trojans of West Central. Playing in Hartford, South Dakota it was a true testament of competition as the Panthers worked through injuries and kept themselves very much in the football game versus a tough opponent.

DV runners shine at DAK XII, prep for regionals

Panther runners were in Canton on October 9, 2025 for the DAK XII Conference Meet. The toughest conference in Class A provided a fast field on the Hiawatha Golf Course where Dakota Valley and competitors all worked hard with fast starts and strong downhill finishes.

Hockey returns as Metros host Waterloo

The Sioux City Metros will open the 2025–26 hockey season on home ice Saturday, October 25, when they host the Waterloo Warriors at the IBP Ice Center, 3808 Stadium Drive. The Junior Varsity squad will take the ice at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Varsity matchup at 3:30 p.m.
