The Huskies took care of business on the road against Baltic on Friday, September 20. Always in control, the Elk Point-Jefferson football squad dominated to win by a score of 46-14.

Lady Huskies power through schedule with big wins

A lot of volleyball was played by the Huskies from September 16-21, 2024. Alcester-Hudson (AH) and Iowa school West Sioux were opponents for Elk Point-Jefferson on Monday, September 16 in Hawarden, Iowa. Then there was strong South Dakota competition the rest of the week.

FEMA: Here to kickstart the recovery process

Tony Mayne and Claudia Anderson want those affected by the spring flooding, severe storms and straight-line winds to know they are here for them. Both were in North Sioux City on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Mayne was present on behalf of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency). Anderson was there representing the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience.

Panther golfers continue to roll in the wins

With a terrific team score of 302, the Panther boys golf team outshot Vermillion by 5 strokes on September 9, 2024 on the Tanager’s home course. Dakota Valley claimed 1st place as a team at The Bluffs Golf Course. They continued their reign of excellence for the 2024 season.

Dakota Valley Panthers dominate Lakota Tech

The Panther football team had a long road trip for a quick game on September 13, 2024. Dakota Valley made their way to Lakota Tech for an away contest in the Black Hills. It was over 300 miles for DV, but they got a resounding victory. The team also got to play on Lakota Tech’s new, multimillion dollar football turf that showcased the school’s campus.

FEMA: Assistance may be available for damaged wells, septic systems

South Dakotans who lost access to water through a private well or damaged septic system in Davison, Lincoln, Turner, and Union counties as a result of the severe storms, straight-line winds, and flooding from June 16 to July 8, 2024, may be eligible for FEMA assistance.

Panther volleyball downs opponents, wins tournament

The Panthers had a big week of volleyball as they brought in victories against Beresford and teams from the Black Hills over the course of 5 days. Dakota Valley swept the Watchdogs, in an away match, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Then they played a tournament in Rapid City on September 13-14, 2024 that had them coming home as champions.
