The Huskies had a great week of volleyball. It all started with a sweep of Viborg-Hurley on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 and then coming out as tournament champions, at Northwestern, on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Brown crowned boys varsity 5K DAK 12 Champion

Two cross country meets were on the agenda for Dakota Valley on October 7th and October 10th. The 1st meet had the Panthers traveling to the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion. The 2nd meet was the DAK 12 conference meet at Lenkota Golf Course.

DV dancers have solid routines

Class AA and Class A schools in South Dakota cannot hold a candle to the Dakota Valley dance team. To start the month of October, the Panther roster competed at O’Gorman in Sioux Falls (SF) on Tuesday, October 1st and were back north less than a week later on Monday, October 7th to dance at SF Roosevelt. Both dance meets resulted in accolades for the DV dancers.

DV Panthers tough gridiron battle against WC Trojans

Friday Night Lights, on October 11, 2024, was also senior night for the Panthers as they took on the Trojans of West Central. It was a close, down to the wire contest that did not end with a win for Dakota Valley.

Dakota Valley Panther volleyball plays tough competitors

Unbelievable competition was the theme of the volleyball week for Dakota Valley from October 7-12, 2024. The Panthers faced top seeded Class A teams, as well as larger schools from neighboring Iowa. Many matches were close and all helped the squad grow fiercer as they head into the final weeks of the season.

Panther girls soccer finish season strong, gain experience

The Panther girls soccer team entered the post season with a #3 seed for playoff action. Their 1st battle on the road to the state championship came against #6 Garretson on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Dakota Valley had home turf advantage, as the higher seed, and came ready to win.

Build Dakota Road Show at DV

The Build Dakota Road Show was in Panther territory on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Deni Martin came to Dakota Valley and spoke in the Performing Arts Center at 5 p.m. to those interested in learning more about growing a workforce and full-ride scholarship opportunities for high schoolers in South Dakota.
