Huskies play in first invite of season

Missouri River Basin drought conditions persist

Right off the bat, the Huskies had a tough road ahead of them as they played in the Region 3B Legion tournament in Vermillion.

Dakota Valley Softball

12U Sindt/Honner 1st place league champions The 12U Sindt/Honner team took 1st place in their league. The team consists of, from left, coach Pat Honner, Bella Monical, Leah Crombie, Kenzie Scott, Coryn Kimball, Katie Betsworth, Lexi Stusse, Audrey Sindt, Emma Honner, Kendyl McIntosh, Cali Smith, Jaida Riley, Paige Moffatt and coach Rich Sindt.

DV goes 2-2 at regions

Dakota Valley participated in the Region 3B Legion tournament in Vermillion July 20-23.

Dakota Valley squared off against the Lennox Orioles, winning the opening round of region play July 20. The Panthers dominated the field winning the game 9-2. (No further results were available as of presstime).

DV Thunder 12U takes fourth place

Dakota Valley Thunder 12U baseball completed their season this weekend by finishing 4th place at the South Dakota State VFW Tournament in Humboldt, SD.

Dakota Valley began State Tournament play on Friday morning with a win over Lake County 14-12. Catcher Cole Brown had a perfect day at the plate getting 4 hits in 4 attempts, on the mound it was a team effort as 6 different pitchers were utilized to complete the game. Reid Huber pitched the final outs and earned the save.
