The Elk Point-Jefferson Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, Sept. 8, approving a range of personnel contracts, tax levy certifications, and surplus declarations, while spotlighting student achievements, district initiatives,+ and ongoing community engagement.

The beauty of Adams Nature Preserve was on full display as hundreds of cross country runners converged on the state park, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for the Dakota Valley Invite. Competition from South Dakota and Iowa were there and the Panthers performed well.

Panthers battle Trojans to tie, face tough loss to Raiders

Never one to shy away from hard competition, the Panther dance team showed they could hang and defeat bigger Class AA schools on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Panthers ignite in second half to rout Canton 35–14

Friday Night Lights was on fire for Dakota Valley as they won their homecoming football game, versus Canton, on September 5, 2025. It was a great contest as the Panthers came from behind to win 35-14 with a huge cheering section in the stands.
