Dakota Valley girls basketball 4th at State Tourney

Dakota Valley girls basketball opened up state tourney play in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Panthers were up against the Sioux Valley Cossacks for their 1st round. The game was played in the evening on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Lewis forges relationship with local schools

Lewis Electric, in North Sioux City, has been in business since 1955 and is well known in the tri-state area for their great work and reliability. They are a third generation, family owned company. The owner, Dan Lewis, started working for his family in 1992. He took over operations in 1996 and the company moved to North Sioux City in 2014.
Union Crossing to bring workforce housing to NSC

Groundbreaking for the Union Crossing Development, in North Sioux City (NSC), took place on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11 am. The ceremony was well attended. Those involved with the project as well as city officials, local area news outlets, the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and members of the community were all present. The NSC police department was on-site to direct traffic for the event which occurred west of the interstate between Dakota Dunes and North Sioux City.

EPJ Board certifies levies, reviews district initiatives

The Elk Point-Jefferson Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, Sept. 8, approving a range of personnel contracts, tax levy certifications, and surplus declarations, while spotlighting student achievements, district initiatives,+ and ongoing community engagement.

The beauty of Adams Nature Preserve was on full display as hundreds of cross country runners converged on the state park, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for the Dakota Valley Invite. Competition from South Dakota and Iowa were there and the Panthers performed well.

Panthers ignite in second half to rout Canton 35–14

Friday Night Lights was on fire for Dakota Valley as they won their homecoming football game, versus Canton, on September 5, 2025. It was a great contest as the Panthers came from behind to win 35-14 with a huge cheering section in the stands.
