The Dakota Valley boys took second place at the DAK-12 Conference eet held in Dell Rapids May 13. They came in after Sioux Falls Christian. The boys were led by first place finishes from Tommy Nikkel in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes; second and third place finishes from Gunnar Gunderson in the 110m and 300m hurdles; a third place finish from Trae Piel in the high jump; and fourth place finishes from Aidan Moran in discus and Hunter Beving in high jump.

The Dakota Valley girls took 6th place out of 11 teams. They were led by Silja Gunderson in the 100 and 300m hurdles, fourth and third, respectively. The 4x200m relay team of Grace Meyer, Sophie Tuttle, Jorja VanDenHul and Rylee Rosenquist took fourth place. Rosenquist continued her domination in the shot put with a first place finish and personal record. VanDenHul took first place in the high jump and was followed by Siena DeGeorgia, who tied for second place and also got a personal record.

The Region 4A track meet is May 20 in Beresford.
