Three Huskies put down 32 kills in a match at West Central Sept. 7 to lead the Huskies to a 4-game win.
Bentlee Kollbaum hit a season-high 12 kills. Ashley Brewer and Josie Curry had 10 kills each as the Husky middles were dominating. Brewer added 4 blocks.
The Huskies held on to win the first set 25-22, then cruised to a 25-13 win in game 2. The Trojans roared back in game 3 to win 25-21, but the Huskies took game 4 25-17 to win the match.
Alyssa led the Huskies with 44 digs and added 3 aces. Sophia Giorgio made 34 assists.
Things were a bit tougher Sept. 9, as the C-Hawks took the Huskies to 5 before EPJ got the win.
The 1st game was a breeze for the Huskies, as they won 25-13. Canton tightened it up going ahead, winning 25-15, 25-19. Another momentum switch saw EPJ winning the final 2 games going away, 25-13, 15-11.
Natalie Heuertz led the team on both offense and defense, with 12 kills and 8 blocks. Alyssa Chytkz anchored the back row with 53 digs. Danica Torrez had 2 aces and Sophia Giorgio 27 assists.
EPJ had 2 home matches – Sept. 14 against Lennox and Thursday, Sept. 16 when they take on Tea Area. They go to Tyndall for the Cavalier Clash Saturday, Sept. 18 and to Beresford Tuesday, Sept. 21.
