The Husky wrestlers hosted Viborg-Hurley Feb. 9 and got a commanding 76-6.

Many of those points came by forfeit, but 4 Huskies won their matches.

Hayes Johnson-120 won by a MD 13-1. Keaton Gale-126, Lucas Hueser-138, Skyler Swatek-145 and Grayson Jacobs-160 all pinned their opponents.

EPJ went to Beresford Feb. 12 for a conference meet and came home with a 50-30 win.

Nearly all the Husky wins came by fall – Hayes Johnson-113, Keaton Gale-120, Joseph Weis-126, Noah McDermott-182 and Drake Peed-285. Lucas Hueser-138 won by TF 15-0 and Conner Wendel-152 won 3-0.

“We hope to be ready to go for regions next Saturday,” head coach Tyler Nolz said. “We have a lot of guys with an opportunity to make it to state if they have a good day.”

The wrestlers begin their postseason with regions Saturday, Feb. 20 at Marion-Freeman. The state meet is Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 25-27 in Rapid City.
