Balanced scoring wasn’t enough for the boys to beat Lawton-Bronson on the road Jan. 28. Ten of the six Huskies who scored hit 7 or more points in the 63-75 loss.

Free throws kept the boys in the game, as they made 16/21 throughout the night.

Ethan Hammitt led the team with 13 points. Adam Grashoff had 15 rebounds and 2 blocks. Chris Nelson made 2 steals and Grashoff, Andrew Nearman and Miles Herrity all had 2 assists.

The refs used their whistles, calling 33 fouls just on EPJ. Three Huskies fouled out and 2 more were close. Head coach Jake Otkin said it sure was a lot of fouls.

“Definitely, but we have to find a way to battle through that and win some of these close games against good teams,” he said. “Although we’re playing them tough, we need to get over that hump and get a victory against a few of them.”
