On July 19, the Jr. Teener baseball team ended their pandemic-shortened season with a second place finish at the 2020 VFW Class A 14U state baseball tournament in Chamberlain. Reaching the state tournament was a goal the Huskies set on the first day of practice; playing in the championship game was a goal they set before the first pitch of the state tournament.

EPJ had a great regular season, finishing with an 8-2 record. Development and preparing for the post season was the focus of every practice and game. With a roster of 19 players, they had to manage playing time while figuring out where every kid could be successful and help the team. Doing that required a high level of selflessness from every young man. They didn’t disappoint. A huge part of their success was the way they embraced the “team” concept. They saw improvements and contributions from every player this season.
