LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was excellent, as the Tigers made a statement against Oklahoma.

Burrow’s dad, Jim Burrow, was on the staff at Nebraska and followed Craig Bohl to North Dakota State. When Frank Solich went to Ohio, Burrow joined him. Burrow retired this past year so he could attend his son’s games.

The younger Burrow was the Player of the Year in Ohio his senior year in high school. He started at Ohio State before transferring to LSU.

The Buckeyes could have used him in their loss to Clemsen. My most impressive play of the season was Trevor Lawrence’s 67-yard TD run. He made a cut that had a defender missing and then outran the Ohio State defensive backs. Lawrence is 6’6.

Congratulations to Iowa. USC has had top 10 recruiting classes. The players have not played to their potential and the coaches have not coached those players to their potential.

NCAA rules state that bowls may provide gifts valued up to $550 to each participant.

Big games are costly to the fan. Reports out of St. Paul had single tickets for the Vikings/Packers games going for $254 and seats in the Delta Sky 360 Club for $2,188.

It looks like our winter weather is kicking in. Now for the postponed games and schedule adjustments.
