The goal of every golfer is to try new courses. It is easy to get onto public courses but private ones are more of a challenge, especially if they do not have reciprocity.

One way to gain access is to play at charity events held on your chosen courses. Some require a foursome. Scoring varies from individual to best ball to best score on the hole.

All those considerations aside, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal published the top 25 charity golf events in a 24-county area.

Topping the list is the Best Buy tournament at Hazeltine National. It’s 2019 gross revenues were $1.99 million. Hazeltine was built to host national events and most recently, hosted the Ryder Cup. The course is located in Chaska.
