Another of Meierkort’s former assistants moved up to a head coach position last weekend. Jake Dickert became head coach at Washington State, which beat Arizona State.

He was secondary coach during Meierkort’s last year at USD. In 2011, redshirt freshman Matt Lupkes was one of the defensive backs.
