During the flood of 2011, area residents found there were lots of untrained engineering “experts” who had all the answers, usually after the fact.
As we move forward with the challenges of COVID-19, that situation can re-emerge.
The most visible place will be in regard to schools at all levels. There will be tough decisions to make and to monitor.
Let’s give the benefit of the doubt to those in the front lines, be it teachers, administrators or governing bodies.
Let’s be professional and let them use their training and knowledge to move forward in a safe manner.
It’s their lives, too.
