Rita Ruess Siemers completed her life’s journey May 29, 2020. Although her passing was unexpected, her sense of adventure will continue on through sons.
Rita Ruess Siemers made her grand entrance into the world in Norwalk, CT on April 26, 1964. After completing her education in Connecticut her strong will and determination gave her the courage to enlist in the U.S. Army. She bravely served her country for six years. Her meticulous attention to detail allowed her to successfully serve Charlie Company 67th Signal Battalion in Ft. Gordon, GA during Operation Desert Shield as well as Operation Desert Storm.
The experiences that Rita learned during her service allowed her to develop amazing organizational skills which contributed to her success in various jobs as well as assisted in writing/editing a book.
Rita’s legacy will continue on. She has instilled a strong work ethic and a desire to never give up in her sons Daniel Hollis (Norfolk, NE) and Damian Hilton (Omaha, NE).
