Delilah Limoges, 89, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020 at Centerville Care and Rehab.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 28 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Centerville.
Delilah Farnum was born Jan. 21, 1931 in Aberdeen, SD to Merrill and Mae (Rehling) Farnum. At the age of 16, she moved to Sioux City where she worked as a waitress and nanny. She moved to Elk Point and worked as a nanny; this is where she met her future husband, Clarence, who lived across the road. They married May 5, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Limoges moved their family to Centerville in 1962. In 1974, she began working at the Good Samaritan Society in Centerville as the laundry supervisor. She retired in 2007 to care for her husband. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the altar society.
Mrs. Limoges is survived by three children, John (Kim) Limoges and Louise (Garold) Williamson all of Centerville, and Curtis (Lisa) Limoges of Irene; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl (Naomi) Farnum of Carlisle, IA; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Limoges of Fordyce, NE.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; two sons, Raymond and Kevin; a grandson; and two brothers, Orley Farnum and Orrin Anderson.
