The North Sioux City Community Library has created a unique experience for their visitors – A Story Walk. They will have four different stories displayed this year by placing the pages of the selected story along a path on their sidewalk. There are activities for families to do along the way. Jessica Hammond used a semi-permanent-based paint for the activities. They did this because last year the activities would wash away either due to rain or the sprinklers.
“This was very popular last year during the pandemic and it was a way for the library to stay connected with the public,” Library Director Liane Welte said. “We wanted people to continue a habit of coming to the library and this was a way we found to be successful. We feel this is a great addition to our library and gives the community a way to enjoy the library after hours. Be sure to come check it out.”
