Veteran Services Officer

Wade Tompkins

Tompkins, 27, grew up in Sioux City and graduated from West High. He is the son of Amy Senhen and Joel Tompkins. He’s completed two tours of duty, one in Iraq and the other in Kosovo. Tompkins is a Sgt. (E5) in the Army National Guard.

He began his duties as Union County’s VSO Oct. 7. He stated that the first week has gone by well, but there is a lot of information to learn. He said he’s ready to learn it, because he wants to support and help as many veterans as he can.

Tompkins will train under Irons until her contract ends Dec. 31. However, even after that, she will continue to be a VSO, just for Lincoln County. She stated she’ll still help Tompkins if questions arise.

Tompkins has a four-year-old daughter, Ivy, with his girlfriend Jade Johnson. He is currently looking to relocate to somewhere in Union County.
