Horizon Health Care’s Elk Point Community Health is currently undergoing renovations to improve patient experience and optimize space by renovating their current clinic location.

The renovation will be completed in three phases over the next six months for minimal disruption to patient care. Phase one, which began in mid-December, will take place on the east side of the building. This space is currently not used for patient care and will be converted into five additional exam rooms. A new nurse’s station will also be added in this space.

Phase two, which is tentatively scheduled to begin in March, will consist of remodeling the current reception and exam room area. At that time, the reception area and main entrance will be temporarily relocated to avoid the construction.

Phase three will include updates to existing office and storage space, to allow better flow for the clinic team.

“We are excited about what this remodel means for our care teams and patients,” said Mary Honomichl, Regional Office Manager. “Once completed, the clinic will have an updated, modern look and be a more efficient use of space. Local health care is an important asset to our community, and we want to ensure we are providing the best patient experience possible.”
