Erin Cornelsen, of Dakota Dunes, loves being a “boy mom.” Her ideal Mother’s Day (or really any day) would be to do something fun and active with her husband, John, and their sons, Tyler-7th grade, Tate-5th grade and Tanner-3rd grade. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cornelsen could often be found in the stands at her kids’ sporting events or carpooling them to practices on the weekends or in the evenings.
“I feel like I always want to be involved in what they’re doing,” Cornelsen acknowledged. “Especially as they have gotten older too, no matter what they’re doing I’m just trying to be involved. Just watching their minds develop is so amazing because you will look back at pictures and videos and just be like ‘they were so little’ and then looking at them now...it goes so fast.”
The hustle and bustle of raising three boys brings with it a nice combination of sweetness and rowdiness. Cornelsen remembers days of playing putt-putt golf with her family and now they are at a stage in life where the boys will beat her in a round at the Two Rivers Golf Course.
