Husky boy golfers head to state

Regional boys golf happened on Monday, September 30 for the Huskies. In addition to Elk Point-Jefferson, multiple Class A competitors also converged in Hartford, SD for a chance to advance to the 2024 state tournament. Windy and hot conditions met all of the golfers at Central Valley Golf Course as they played 18 holes in hopes of extending their golf season another week.

Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies sweep Wagner Red Raiders

It was a volleyball match versus Wagner for Elk Point-Jefferson on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The contest was a Husky sweep as EPJ played strong to secure the victory.

An incredible away game was in store for Elk Point-Jefferson as they traveled to Wagner on Friday, October 4, 2024. The Huskies came to town ready to play and dominate, and that is just what they did on their way to a 49-8 win.

Homecoming Huskies shutout Beresford Watchdogs

The Huskies had an outstanding homecoming game on the football field on Friday, September 27, 2024. Elk Point-Jefferson defeated the Watchdogs of Beresford by a score of 390. The shutout win, under the Friday Night Lights, was a great evening for the EPJ crowd.

Dakota Valley girls soccer roll past competition

Dakota Valley girls soccer had a slow start in their home match, versus Garretson, on September 24, 2024. However, they exploded in the last 25 minutes of play to win 4-1.

Panther dance and cheer represent in fine fashion

The Panther dance team and Dakota Valley’s competitive cheer squad were both in action throughout the last week of September. Dancers competed on September 24th and September 28th. The cheer team also stayed busy on September 28th plus they competed earlier in the week on September 23, 2024.

Dakota Valley Panthers battle tough Lennox Orioles

The Panthers took “Friday Night Lights” on the road for a tough football game versus the Orioles of Lennox on September 27, 2024. Both sides came to win as each was ranked high in Class 11A for South Dakota. However, the Panthers found themself down early and unable to catch up throughout the game. They took a 19-48 loss.

Lady Panthers continue to dominate opponents

The end of September saw a lot of volleyball for Dakota Valley as the varsity took on West Central on the 24th, Sioux Falls Christian on the 26th and then played a competitive tournament at the Sanford Pentagon on the 28th.

Panther runners continue to have strong performances

Good weather and a fast course were on the agenda for Panther runners at both of their cross country meets on Monday, September 23 and Thursday, September 26. The 1st meet was hosted by Alcester-Hudson (AH).
