Dakota Valley Panthers head to State

Junior Sammy Kimbell was the 1st server for the Panthers and a kill by Claire Munch had the Panther’s with the 1st score of the match.

EPJ Husky Football 2024 Season Recap

The Huskies wrapped up a strong 2024 football season on November 8, 2024. Elk Point-Jefferson ended their run in the postseason with a winning record of 8-3 on the season. Strong senior leadership and outstanding play on both sides of the line contributed greatly to success for the Huskies this past season. They fell just one game short of the state finals. The #2 seed Winner defeated #1 Sioux Valley for the 11B state title on Friday, November 15, 2024.

DV beats Lennox, plays Hanson next to qualify for SoDak 16

Dakota Valley jumped to a big lead in volleyball, versus Lennox, on Thursday, November 7, 2024 in their 1st set of the evening. The Panthers were playing on their home court for the Class A Region 4 semifinals. Back-to-back kills by outside hitter Sammy Kimbell had the Panthers ahead 13-3. The Orioles got on a bit of a rally, but Claire Munch shut it down off an assist, from her sister Madie, to make the score 18-10.

Dakota Valley Panther football season recap

The Panther varsity football season came to an end on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Dakota Valley had a strong season and advanced to postseason play as the #7 in Class 11A for South Dakota. A loss to Dell Rapids in the 1st round of playoffs ended DV’s bid to make it to the state finals on November 16, 2024.

Sioux City Metros dominate Boji

After a sweep performance on the road to Waterloo, Sioux City Metros outplayed the newest team to the Midwest High School Hockey League, Boji Mammoths. Numerous teammates contributed to the barrage of points. Heelan’s Karson Fitch (Sr.), South Sioux City Ryan Hedquist (Sr.), and DV’s Jax Trosper (Jr.) led the way with hat tricks. Goaltender Cameron Patrick, Sergeant Bluff (Jr), added a shutout to his statistics. Varsity ends the game with a 15-0 win.

Lady Huskies don’t go down without a fight against SFC Chargers

Competitive regional volleyball greeted Elk Point-Jefferson for the 1st full week of November. With an outstanding regular season in the books, the Huskies drew a #2 seed for Class A Region 4. This had them facing the #7 seed Vermillion on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

EPJ Huskies battle SV Cossacks in season ending loss

The Class 11B semifinal football match-up had Elk Point-Jefferson at Sioux Valley on Friday, November 8, 2024. The Huskies took on the Cossacks in a game to determine who would advance to the state championship finals. Both teams played incredibly hard for their school. In a tough game, EPJ was handed a loss on the road by a score of 14-28.

EPJ Huskies dominate CWL advance to semifinals

The Elk Point-Jefferson football team was in for a Halloween treat on Thursday, October 31, 2024 as they secured a playoff victory versus Clark/Willow Lake (CWL). The win extended EPJ’s season and advanced the team to the state semifinals.

Panthers continue to roll, ready for postseason

The Panthers jumped to a monster lead in their 1st set versus the Tea Titans on Monday, October 28, 2024. Up 13-6 gave the Panthers an excellent start to the evening.
