After 33 years as Union County Sheriff, Dan Limoges made his final trip home Feb. 18 from the Union County Courthouse down Main Street of Elk Point and to his residence outside of city limits. Hundreds of law enforcement individuals throughout the state attended Sheriff Dan’s funeral held at the Elk Point-Jefferson High School.
