A new chapter in the 110-year history of the Two Rivers Golf Club is being written with the recent purchase of the course by a group of investors – Dakota Dunes Land Holdings, led by Connelly Development.

The course was established in 1909 and features 18 holes with a par 70 course, full practice facility and clubhouse.

“That’s why I’m so excited,” Head Golf Professional Rodd Slater said. “It’s a new chapter in this course’s history that recommits this land to golf. As times change and things develop, when this was bought by a developer, you get concerned. Is there going to be a different plan for this land? And they recognized the beauty of it, the value to the community, what it provides to juniors, to families, to people who just enjoy the game and want to play in any fashion. They committed to keep the golf course, but not only that but to improve it. So I’m pretty excited.”

There are plans in the works to create some course improvements, but nothing has been settled as of yet. The course was purchased on Jan. 3, so the concept of what improvements to make is relatively new. Slater stated that he wants to hear from his passholders and customers.
