The Elk Point City Council met Monday, March 2 for its monthly meeting with a short, but significant agenda.

Two resolutions for State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan applications were approved, which will provide the money needed to repair several blocks of Douglas and Washington Street. Resolution #2020-2 approves an SRF loan to replace water lines under the streets. Resolution #2020-2 is for sewer lines. The loans total $1.2 million and have already been approved by the state. Council member Ken VonHaden, who owns property on Douglas Street, abstained from the voting.
