We look forward to the day we reopen and offer services to the patrons of the North Sioux City Community Library. The shutdown gives us an opportunity to sanitize our facility and be ready for operation once again. Please check out our Facebook page for updates on our status and great resources to help educate children at home.
First, I want to highlight our South Dakota State Library website: library.sd.gov. If you are a South Dakota resident, this website is free. You will find databases for patrons of all ages. I strongly recommend this valuable resource. After using this site, you will wonder why you haven’t before.
I continue to add books to our collection as long as delivery is available. When we see you again, we will be stocked with many new releases ready for circulation.
Recent releases added to the adult section are The Big Lie by James Grippando, Postscript by Cecelia Ahern, Nothing Ventured by Jeffrey Archer, Tidelands by Philippa Gregory, A Reasonable Doubt by Phillip Margolin, Cross Her Heart by Melinda Leigh and many more.
Juvenile and Young Adult readers can select from recent releases Dragonslayer by Tui Sutherland, Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, Garden of Dreams & Desire by Kristen Painter, Gloom Town by Ronald Smith, How to Build a Heart by Maria Padian and Three Things I Know are True by Betty Culle.
