Andrew Tramp is the newest recruit to the Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District staff. He replaced longtime employee Kim Hoffman.
Tramp began his duties as Finance Officer March 16.
He stated that he always wanted to get into government and always wanted to live in Dakota Dunes. So when his wife, Shiloe, noticed the finance officer position opened and showed it to him, at first he thought, ‘I can’t apply for a new job during tax season,’ but after a week or two, he couldn’t wait to apply. Though he’s still working on finding a place to live in the Dunes, one part of his dream has come to fruition.
“I really wanted to get into government,” Tramp said. “I grew up in Crofton, NE, but I hung out in Yankton, SD all the time. So I love South Dakota as a state, visit the Black Hills all the time. We’d always come down to Sioux City with my family and we would pass the Dunes and I’d say, ‘Some day, some day, I’m going to live there.’”
