Zariah Zevenbergen of Elk Point has been chosen to participate in the Clinical Neurophysiology Technician Program at the Mayo Clinic of Medicine and Science in Rochester, MN.
Competition for the program is intense; only eight applicants are accepted. It’s rare for a high school senior to be chosen; most participants have had some medical schooling.
Zevenbergen interviewed with a panel of board members from the program. Her selection means she will automatically receive the Mayo Clinic Workforce Development Scholarship, which covers the full cost of tuition.
Zevenbergen will graduate from Elk Point-Jefferson High School next month. She is the daughter of Brad and Zaniell Zevenbergen of Elk Point.
