North Sioux City Community Library opens for curbside pick-up

The North Sioux City Community Library, pictured above, had two vehicles in the parking lot as employees continued to clean the facilities. The North Sioux City Council had previously closed the library, but is now letting city residents and members utilize the library’s services through a pick-up, drop-off system. People still aren’t allowed inside the building, but material circulation will begin again.

No longer just for food – curbside pick-up is available on books and other library materials at the North Sioux City Community Library.

The city council decided to allow the recirculation of materials after closing down the library nine weeks ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, North Sioux City Community Library Director Liane Welte said they have been hard at work cleaning, sanitizing and implementing new safety procedures at the library.
