Panther boys take 2nd

The long distance runners of Dakota Valley travelled to Lennox on Thursday, Sept. 29 to compete. The varsity boys had a great showing to take home 2nd place as a team. DV Dance takes 3rd

It was another tough competition for the Dakota Valley dance team as they performed alongside many bigger Class AA schools at their Sept. 27 competition at O’Gorman in Sioux Falls. The Panthers took runner-up in both their jazz and pom routines and finished 3rd overall.

Band awards

NAMM Award: Once again, the Dakota Valley Schools has been recognized as a Best Community for Music Education. This designation is given by the NAMM Foundation and is based on various criteria including student demographics, student/ teacher ratio, and music education participation rates. This is the 5th Year that the Dakota Valley has received this distinction.

Panthers play in Nebraska

The varsity volleyball squad and the C-team ventured to Nebraska for a triangular Sept. 29 versus Pierce and Ponca. Both rosters saw high levels of play from their opponents which made the road trip well worth it.

First season in the books

The last home game and season match-up for the Dakota Valley boys varsity soccer squad was Thursday, Sept. 29 versus West Central. The Panthers took on the Trojans at home and also celebrated their lone senior, Aiden Vande Zande, for senior night.

Bitcoin expands in NSC

Barefoot Mining, LLC (Barefoot) has once again expanded its Bitcoin Mining operations in South Dakota with the launch of its Red Horse Mining Company in North Sioux City. The expansion encompasses a container of 176 servers, continuing the company’s investment in increasing the hash power it oversees in South Dakota.
