Lady Huskies fall to Dell Rapids in defensive battle

Defensive efforts were observed in Elk Point-Jefferson’s low scoring game versus Dell Rapids (DR) on December 22, 2025. Tough 2nd and 3rd quarters hurt the Huskies as they fell to the DR Quarriers by a score of 33-47.

Bousquet starts fifth‑grade student teaching at EPJ

Dakota State University student Sydney Bousquet is student teaching fifth grade for the spring semester in the Elk Point Jefferson School District. Bousquet is an elementary education and major from Elk Point, South Dakota.

DV boys dominate C‑Hawks to open winter break

Dakota Valley boys varsity had back-to-back games to commence the Panther’s winter break. The C-Hawks from Canton were in North Sioux City to play DV on Friday, December 19, 2025. Strong play was observed right away by DV as they gained early momentum.

Neighbors helping neighbors

Customers at Jones’ Food Center raised nearly $1,900 for the Elk Point Food Pantry in November by round‑ing up their purchases at the register. The store matched the total with $1,000, and First Dakota Bank contrib‑uted another $1,000, bringing the combined donation to $3,892.

The Elk Point-Jefferson girls basketball team faced a fierce opponent on a windy night, in Sioux Falls, prior to the school’s winter break. The Chargers of Sioux Falls Christian (SFC) hosted the Huskies on Thursday, December 18, 2025. It was SFC’s home opener and they came out aggressive on the court.
