The Dakota Valley volleyball team opened post-season play hosting Canton Oct. 30. They made quick work of the C-Hawks, winning 25-17, 25-21, 25-13.

In the 1st game, Canton’s passers could not handle the Panther serve, and a number of DV players went on long runs, including Ally Beresford and Sophia Atchison. Although they didn’t always serve up aces, they put so much pressure on Canton that the C-Hawks usually had to free-ball it over, if they even got to the 3rd hit.

Canton changed the tone in the 2nd game, with their Darby Oliver going on a serving run to get the C-Hawks an early 7-2 lead. They continued to hold a 5-6 point lead til late in the game when Beresford went to the line. She served the Panthers to 25.
