Blanche Marie Ashmore, 93, of Sioux City, died Aug. 11, 2019 in Omaha, NE.

A memorial service was held Friday, Aug. 30 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial was at Logan Park Cemetery.

March 1, 1926 Blanche was born and raised on the family farm near Spink. She attended a dance where a young man, (Gene) asked her to dance. They fell in love and danced the next 60-plus years together. Mrs. Ashmore served as Director of Jack and Jill Preschool for 20 years, loving every second with the children. She was most proud of being a housewife, mom and grandma. She was a true example of love to her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Mike (Bonnie) of Maple Grove, MN, and Curt (Tami) of Omaha; a daughter-in-law, (Carol) of Mulino, OR; two brothers, Joe (Helen) and Mal (Shirley); six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two siblings, Jim (Betty) and Frannie (Carl); and a son, Brad.
